Is it possible to make Orion use a custom server?

I don't know too much about Orion but I know it is very customizable and it allows you to create plugins that alter its functionality. I was wondering if it was possible to perhaps create a plugin for it that would let you select a custom server from it's list of servers. As of now only "localhost" and "git server" are available to choose from, and any files you create and edit are saved to localhost. We have a server at my job and I'd like to be able to access the files on it from within the Orion client. Can this be done if I write a plugin for Orion? Or is it done through its settings or a different manner?

I've searched a bit for a way to do this and have came up short, any help would be much appreciated!
