Off Canvas Sidebar (Slides not Pushes Content) with Nested Multi Level Content with IE9+ Support

I have looked @ many different solutions and none seem to fit these exact requirements. The biggest factor is browser support and ones like codrops uses 3d transforms.

An ideal solution would look like a top nav hamburger that clicks with a fixed width sidebar that slides over content (with overlay) that can then have an infinite amount of multi-level content links that would again slide and cover previous pages. Long story short is this would mimic codrops solution functionality plus slide functionality and good browser support. The other major factor here is the amount of nested content could potentially be rather huge so scalability is pretty big concern as well. Lastly, this is content focused, not nav based, which almost everything I see is based off. Obviously this is easy enough to change for a small amount but with scaling in mind having 50 potentially nested ULs does not seem like a feasible approach.

FWIW - This is in a backbone/bootstrap/sass environment
