CGI-Node.js, too good to be true?

I was trying to find a way to install Node.js onto my shared hosting server (Hostgator or Godaddy). I stumbled upon this site http://ift.tt/1vPeqPS, at first it seems legitimate and absolutely awesome to be able to run a Node.js server on a cheap shared hosting server. But then when I look more into it I see that the website is built using Google Pages, and there is almost no documentation. When I google more about it there is almost no information and no body talking about this CGI, and if it were real I would think a lot of people would be talking about it.

Has anyone here ever successfully used this? Is it a viable options or should I pay more for server rental and install my own Node.js Server?
