Having difficulty in developing "Add to favorites" from scratch

I m trying to get something similar to Craigslist.com "add to favorite" option, through which a user can revisit their pages of interest. If a favorite button is clicked, the link of ad is saved and shows on top.

Is there any jquery available? I don't know from where should I start. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't need browser's add to favorites option neither database driven add to favorites option.
